Celluma LED Light Therapy
Clinically Researched Light. Natural Cellular Support.
Harnessing clinically researched LED technology, Celluma delivers targeted wavelengths of light to support natural cellular processes. Depending on your individual needs, treatment can be used to support skin rejuvenation, acne management, inflammation and recovery — all without needles, heat or downtime.
Photobiomodulation, Explained
Celluma is a professional-grade LED light therapy treatment, also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) or low-level light therapy. It uses specific wavelengths of LED light — primarily red, near-infrared and, depending on the treatment mode, blue light — to interact with cells and support natural biological processes.
The technology works by delivering light energy that is absorbed by cellular structures, including the mitochondria. This can increase cellular energy production (ATP), supporting processes involved in tissue repair, regeneration and cellular function.
Celluma's professional devices are Class IIa medical devices, with different models cleared for different treatment indications including acne, ageing skin, pain, hair growth and body contouring. The exact applications on your Cura page match the Celluma model and treatment modes we use in-clinic.
How Celluma Can Support You
Four key areas where targeted LED light therapy is designed to support your skin, body and recovery.
Skin Rejuvenation
Supports collagen and elastin production, helps improve skin texture and tone, and can reduce the appearance of fine lines — promoting a healthier, more radiant-looking complexion.
Acne & Inflammation
Blue LED light targets acne-causing bacteria while red light helps calm redness and inflammation — designed to support clearer-looking, more balanced skin.
Pain & Recovery
Red and near-infrared wavelengths can penetrate deeper into tissue, helping to support circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote muscle and joint comfort during recovery.
Non-Invasive Treatment
A gentle treatment with no needles and no downtime, designed to be easily incorporated into your wellness and skincare routine.
What Happens During Treatment
Your skin or treatment area is cleansed before the Celluma device is positioned close to the area being treated. The flexible LED panel delivers the selected wavelength combination for the recommended treatment time.
The treatment is comfortable and non-invasive, with most clients experiencing little more than the gentle sensation of light and warmth. Once treatment is complete, you can return to your normal activities immediately.
Celluma's general protocol recommends 30-minute treatments, although the appropriate frequency and treatment plan should be determined according to the indication and your individual needs.
Is Celluma Right for Me?
Celluma LED light therapy is gentle and well-tolerated by most clients, but treatment should be avoided or discussed with a medical professional in certain circumstances, including:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding (in certain treatment areas)
- History of epilepsy or light-induced seizures
- Use of photosensitising medication
- Treatment over known cancerous tumours
- Active infections or open wounds in the treatment area
If you are unsure whether Celluma is suitable for you, please contact us — we will be happy to discuss your individual circumstances before booking.
